Come join us on Tuesday, September 16 at 6:30PM for an evening of fellowship and discussion at Monday Night Brewing: The Grove, as we kick-off the season for Young Adults and Professionals here at Northside. Theology on Tap is a drop-in/peace-out friendly event—and the perfect time to learn about what’s going on a Northside! It’s also the perfect place to bring your questions and thoughts on the Bible or theology or the world around us today! Contact Dr. James Johnson.

Understanding Me, Understanding You is an 8-week group facilitated by Cumberland Counseling at Northside for anyone ready to explore what makes us who we are, and how that shapes the ways we love, connect, and relate. Each week, we’ll reflect on themes like trauma, attachment, culture, and the stories we all carry, all within a supportive and engaging group process. You’ll have space to share, reflect, and gain insight into how your personal and cultural identity impact the way you relate to others. Meetings start Wednesday, September 17 at 7:00PM in Room 300. Contact Robert Vore.

The Cost of Poverty is a 2.5 hour simulation that explores the lived experience of poverty firsthand through the eyes of real families. Take on family roles and make it through the “month.” The experiential nature of this training helps you and your family more deeply understand the human and systemic impacts of poverty. This event is Sunday, September 21 at 4:45PM in the Watson Faith & Arts Center. Dinner is provided. Register online or contact Rev. Angela House.

As we begin our 75th Anniversary Celebration on October 5, members will also have an opportunity to submit 2026 Commitment Cards on the same date. When you make a commitment to Northside for 2026, your gifts are advancing God’s mission. Building on the Cornerstone laid 75 years ago, you are continuing the legacy of faithfulness for future generations. You can turn your physical card in to the church or submit one online.

As we celebrate Northside’s 75th anniversary, we are giving away commemorative magnets as a memento. Be sure to pick yours up on Sunday outside the Contemporary and Traditional Worship spaces. Also, remember to save the date for Sunday, October 5 as we have two special services, 9:00 and 11:15AM, along with a special reception at 10:10AM with light breakfast refreshments. Visit our website to find out more information and other ways you can engage.
