Pastoral Appointments Announcement

Last Sunday Bishop Dease announced the pastoral appointments for the 2026/2027 conference year beginning on July 1. Dr. Bill Burch along with the Reverends Catherine Boothe Olson and Angela House will be returning to Northside for another year.

We also anticipate the Reverend Dana Ezell joining the church staff as an associate pastor. Dana is an elder currently serving as the senior pastor at Saint Andrew UMC in Marietta. She previously served at Trinity UMC in downtown Atlanta. Dana began her career in social work before answering God’s call to the ordained ministry. #BeTheChurch

Here's how you can get involved:

He is risen! Hallelujah! Jesus has risen! Now what? How did the earliest Christians respond to this incredible miracle of God? What does it mean for Jesus to be resurrected? Is resurrection what we think it is? Join us starting April 15 at 6:30PM in the Loft for deep dive in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, why it is so important, and what it means for who we are today! Contact Dr. James Johnson.

On the Thursday of Holy Week, April 2, we gather for a powerful service remembering Christ’s final days. Join us in the Watson Faith & Arts Center at noon or 6:30PM for Holy Week Communion. This service blends traditional and contemporary elements as we share in a time of remembrance, reflection and Holy communion. Contact Joshua McClure.

Join us on Saturday, April 4, for Northside’s egg hunt on the grassy lawn. We will begin promptly at 10:15AM, followed by fellowship and refreshments. Rain or shine, we will have the egg hunt. Register on our website or contact Nancy Jeanne Chadwick with any questions.

Join us this Easter, Sunday, April 5, as we worship God on this holy day and celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We will have Traditional Worship services at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:15AM; Contemporary Worship services will be at 9:00 and 10:30AM. Enjoy the fun and joy that animals bring to children and adults alike during Easter before and after services. For more information, visit our website
